The project here was a commisioned piece requested by my roomate. It was my roomates gift for the his family. The piece was to be 3D printed to be displayed in the roommate's parent's house. After being providing several reference photos, I was able to construct 3D portait of Grandfather Martin. All modeling and sculpting were completed in Zbrush. I only needed Zbrush to complete this project as Zbrush provided options for 3D printing. I had to first reconstruct the SubGroup in Zbrush together to make one mesh. First series of prints failed due to the hat. To fix this I cut off the hat and had it print separatly to be glued on later. After all of the product was together I ended up experimenting with normal and displacement mapping in Blender. I also attempted create HyperReal Texture maps however I have not yet been successful in its set up.
