Aki' Rizier (Ace) 3D Character Model

Aki' Rizier, nicknamed Ace, was an original design from 8 years ago from my time at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). I wanted a character that seemed scary or creepy but strong. Ace is visual influenced by Roaches, Cicada, and Wasps while thematically influenced by Star Wars, Star Trek, and Wing Commander. The character concept was essentially a redo from 8 years ago making the overall redesign easy, however this time I was able to apply more technical applications. This included some firsts, like Adobe Substance Painter, and the use of UDIMS. Though Ace and this project was mostly about sculpting, I went ahead to work with Substance Painter for textures, and to test render with Maya // Arnold options for Ambient Occlusions, Lighting options, and wire frames. In addition, I created a simple pose rig for the character. Ace was absolutely fun and now I'm excited to rework more of my old characters from college.
